The Resort Village of Cochin offers a wide range of community services. Please contact the Village Office (1-306-386-2333) for further information. Services and community organizations are listed alphabetically.

BYLAWS	Village of Cochin Bylaw information is available from the Village Office. All dogs must be licensed. There is no fee.
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS	Call the Village Office at 386-2333 for more information.
BALL DIAMONDS	The ball diamonds are located just south of the Bigway Store along Highway 4. Enter your team for the annual ball tournament during Cochin Days! Call the Village Office at 386-2333 for more information.
BOAT LAUNCHES	The Jackfish Lake boat launch is l ocated at the Main Beach. The Murray Lake boat launch is located behind the old Village Storage Compound
CHURCH SERVICES	Both the Baptist Church & St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church are located along Highway 4 N. Regular Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday at 11 a.m. Catholic Mass times vary. Please see Mass times posted at the front of the church.
CITIZENS ON PATROL (C.O.P.)	This is a Volunteer Program & we need you! Please contact the Village Office for further information.
COMMUNITY HALL	The Community Hall can be available for your family reunion, weddings, and more. Rental - $250.00, Cleaning/Damage Deposit - $150.00. Call the Village Office at 386-2333 for more information.
EMERGENCY MEASURES (E.M.O.)	Contact the Village Office for further information.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE	Police, Fire & Ambulance Emergency ONLY - 911. R.C.M.P. Non-emergent calls - 446-1720.
FIRE DEPARTMENT	This is a Volunteer Program & we need you! Fire Chief Misty Hulit. Call the Village Office at 386-2333 for more information.

FISH FILLETING	A fish flleting shack is located at the Murray Lake Boat Launch
GARBAGE PICKUP	Household garbage pick-up is Monday except for holiday Mondays. In this case, garbage will be picked up on Tuesday. Bags should not weigh more than 40 lbs. & should be stored in a water tight container. Bags weighing more than 40 lbs. will not be removed & you may be ticketed. All household waste is priority after which leaves & trees will be picked up as time perits.

LANDFILL	The landfill is for use by local residents only. Winter landfill hours are Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm. The landfill is located approximately 5 kms north on Hwy 4 & 0.5 km west.
LIBRARY	The Library is located in the Village Office. It is open 1:00 - 4:00 pm on Wednesday. Hi-Speed Internet available.

PLAYGROUNDS	There are 3 playgrounds. One is located at the Main Beach. The other 2 can be found on Joseph Crescent and behind the Post Office.
POST OFFICE	Hours are Mon - Fri 8:30-11:30am, 1-4pm. Mailbox access is available week days 8:30 am - 9 pm and Saturday 9 am-6 pm.
RINK BUILDING	The Rink Building can be available for smaller gatherings.. Rental - $75.00, Cleaning/Damage Deposit - $75.00. Call the Village Office at 386-2333 for more information.
SEAWEED PICKUP	The works staff will remove seaweed each Friday during the summer months. Residents are asked to clear the beach of boats or other items so that the tractor can get through.
STORAGE COMPOUND	The storage compound is located behind the Village Office. There is NO VACANCY at this time. Fees are $125.00/year for residents & $150.00/year for non-residents. A $10.00 key deposit is required. Call the Village Office at 386-2333 for more information.
TENNIS COURT & HORSESHOE PITS	The tennis court & four horseshoe pits are located at the Main Beach.
WASTE MANAGEMENT	Garbage pickup is provided for residents every Monday. Commercial pickup is on Monday and Friday.
WATER SUPPLY	The Interlake Water Utility is responsible for water service to the Ville of Cochin. For further information please see The Interlake Water Utility website at http://www.interlakewater.net

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS The Resort Village of Cochin Fire Department has a new Fire Chief, Ms Misty Hulit. The department currently consists of four new recruits and eight returning recruits. First Aid Training for fight fighters takes place January 19 & 20, 2013. We have recently acquired another fire truck to assist with grass fires and to carry the extraction equipment.
Our current fund raising effort is a 2013 calendar depicting the fires we have attended to over the past year. They are available for $20.00 at the Village Office or from Fire Chief Misty Hulit.
The fire department is still looking for more volunteer fire fighters!!!

WINTER LANDFILL HOURS are Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The landfill accepts:

Bagged household garbage
Clean lumber, trees, leaves
Metal
ABSOLUTELY NO refrigerated items

INTERLAKE WATER UPDATE After hour contact number for Interlake Regional Water is 306-480-9912. During business hours, Monday to Friday 8:00- 4:00, please call the office. If you have no water and cannot contact the service rep please call 1-800-667-5799. Interlake water has a new website. To view it click here.
