Faye Cadrin has been paining since she was 'knee high to a grasshopper'. She moved to the Battleford area from Meadow Lake in 1958. She is married to John. Together, they have 5 children - 2 boys and 3 girls and 6 grandchildren. All reside in Saskatchewan.

Faye started painting with oils in 1980. She prefers to paint animals and still objects but she has tried her hand at portraiture. She started working with water colour when she joined the Lakeshore Artists.

Faye credits her mother for encouraging and inspiring her - "I think that it was her way of keeping me busy". Faye is challenged when what she sees makes her wonder, "can I paint that?".
