George Ferguson was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan and went to school in Cutknife. He had the opportunity to travel all over Saskatchewan as a result of his work with SaskPower. He now resides at West Chatfield Beach. George is married to Jeannine. Together, they have 3 children and 5 grandsons.

George prefers to work with watercolours but has also used oils, pastel and acrylics. His work features the beautiful prairie landscapes. Recently, he has started exploring charcoal portraiture and has completed portraits of each of his grandsons.

George has been encouraged by his daughter Michelle to pursue art. He also credits a former teacher, Mary Ramsey.
